Smash Homelessness returns to Charleston for its second year, uniting 24 of the city’s celebrated chefs, restaurants, and local personalities for a one-day culinary experience where food meets purpose.

Smash Homelessness is Smash City Burgers in partnership with Hoops Against Homelessness, a charity founded in 2020 by Wade Altum, who was six years old at the time.

Since 2020, Hoops Against Homelessness has grown, as has Wade, and has raised nearly $40,000 that directly benefits organizations providing shelter, essential resources, and long-term solutions for individuals experiencing homelessness in Charleston and surrounding counties. All proceeds from Smash Homelessness benefit Hoops Against Homelessness.
